The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces, headquartered in New Delhi, India. It provides students with basic military training in drill, physical fitness, small arms, leadership, discipline and teamwork. NCC helps young people develop confidence, patriotism, responsibility and a strong spirit of service to the nation. Officers and cadets have no liability for active military service after completing their training.

Ramaiah Institute of Business Studies (RIBS) proudly offers NCC training to its students under 6 Coy / Platoon 3, 6 Karnataka Battalion NCC, Bangalore ‘A’ Group, Army Wing (SD/SW). This unit provides opportunities for both Senior Division (SD) and Senior Wing (SW) cadets to participate in regular parades, training camps, community-service programmes, awareness activities and adventure-based events.

Through NCC, students develop leadership qualities, self-confidence, teamwork, punctuality, courage and a strong sense of responsibility. NCC activities encourage students to serve society, respect national values and become disciplined and responsible citizens. The programme also provides valuable exposure beyond the classroom and prepares students to face personal and professional challenges with confidence.
